Stephanie Rivin made her first vintage of wine in 2008 at only 28 years old, apprenticing under the wise guidance of founding members of the Anderson Valley winemaking community. Married to a fellow winemaker, Dan, the Rivins make their home with their two young children on a vineyard overlooking the whole valley. When asked what led her into winemaking, Steph answers, "drinking a lot of wine." Stephanie is definitely a wine girl, though not of the overly civilized variety--she jokes in ways that make men blush and she's certainly not afraid to get her hands dirty. She likes to have constant contact with the wine, always checking the barrels, performing punch downs herself, and sampling at all stages. Stephanie's winemaking is art. She is young, bright, good-natured, capable, and humble, with enough spunk and daring to never be hindered by those who may underestimate her.
